Police cop a lemon

A HOMELESS man was arrested and sent to court for stealing a $ 1.50 lemon from Coles in a case that has been slammed as one of the pettiest crimes ever pursued by NSW Police. A magistrate threw out the case with no penalty recorded. “It’s a tremendous waste of police resources,” Law Society president Pauline Wright said.
