Dream win for Grid Kid

A LIT­TLE boy who loves cars and trucks won the Bul­letin’s Su­per­cars Dis­ney Grid Kid com­pe­ti­tion.

Two- year- old Jase Dun­can, from Bur­dell, won a three- day gen­eral ad­mis­sion and a pad­dock ac­cess fam­ily pass to the Wat­pac Townsville 400.

He also won a Sphero Ul­ti­mate Light­ning McQueen model car, which is con­trolled us­ing an app and val­ued at $ 500, and an of­fi­cial Dis­neyPixar mer­chan­dise pack.

Jase’s mother Beck Dun­can said her son loved any­thing that moved and was a huge fan of the Cars movies.

“He loves cars, trucks and planes,” she said.

“We’ll be driv­ing along the high­way and he’ll say ' look Mummy, there is a truck’. He is ob­sessed. I cried all morn­ing when I read my name in the pa­per and found out I’d won be­cause it’s not some­thing I would usu­ally be able to af­ford to take him to.”
