Hayley brews up success

THERE is a new coffee hot spot in the CBD with Alt Brew opening its doors in Flinders St.

Owner Hayley Sutton, who also part owns other Townsville coffee enterprises such as Baker and Barista in Willows, saw a prime opportunity when a space opened up at the base of a large commercial tower in the city centre.

She said she wanted to bring excellent quality with a bit of fun mixed with a bright interior to provide a positive experience for busy office workers grabbing a coffee.

“When they come downstairs for their coffee they are getting out of the office for five minutes and they come in and it’s bright yellow and they are welcomed with smiles,” she said.

“Office workers definitely need their coffee and it was a great opportunity to get a space in the foyer of an office building.

“It already had a good setup, it was in a good location and we could really fulfil what the market wanted with excellent coffee and good grab- andgo food.

“I’ve heard a lot of people upstairs are already talking about my coffee.”

The coffee shop offers several different types of coffee including cold brew, filter coffee and the classic espresso.

Much of the food is homemade and includes jaffles, paleo slices and sandwiches.
