British GP to hit the streets

Townsville Bulletin - - SPORT -

ORGANISERS are looking at the possibility of hosting Formula One’s British Grand Prix on the streets of London.

With the Silverstone racetrack exercising a break clause in its contract to host the UK’s big race, F1 boss Chase Carey said Liberty Media were interested in bringing Formula One to more city- based street races.

The idea has piqued the interest of some of the sport’s top drivers and even London’s Mayor Sadiq Kahn.
