MAPS SURVIVE

Townsville Bulletin - - NEWS -

TOWNSVILLE bloke John Walker of real estate fame rang this week to lament what the passing of RACQ road maps. Mr Walker rang to say he feared that the maps had gone the way of the dodo, the fountain pen and $ 5 counter meals. I gave RACQ a call and was advised that some maps are being phased out, but that the organisation will continue to print maps covering all parts of Australia. There may be though some sub- maps ( maps providing detailed regional analyses) that may be discontinued. It all depends on demand. The upshot is that maps will still be printed and will remain free to RACQ members.
