SMUG PUG IS TRUE TO LIFE

Townsville Bulletin - - NEWS - TIM WILLIAMS

HE’S naughty, cunning and refuses to fess up to what he’s done – which makes the star of the Pig the Pug books just like the real thing.

“He’s actually not far off being a true pug,” said longtime pug breeder Donna McClarty.

“He’s goofy, a clown. Pugs are known to be the clowns of the dog world.

“They definitely are naughty. I’ve got one eight- week- old at the moment and he’s the naughtiest I’ve ever had.”

Two of Aaron Blabey’s Pig the Pug books are in the The Great Australian Storybook Collection, starting this weekend with the Townsville Bulletin and Sunday Mail.

In Pig the Fibber, the title character tries to shift the blame for all his misdeeds onto Trevor the sausage dog. Readers can collect a free copy of Possum Magic and collector’s case with The Great Australian Storybook Collection, starting this Sunday.
