MasterChef finalist hit the sauce

Townsville Bulletin - - NEWS -

MASTERCHEF heart- throb Ben Ungermann has put up some delicious dishes on his way to the final of the television show but he would be well advised to lay off the sauce.

The former model has been convicted of low- range drinkdriving, banned from getting behind the wheel for two months and issued a $ 400 fine after he was stopped by police on May 26 in Brisbane. And, in a strange twist of fate, the 32- year- old was pulled over by the partner of Constable Leah Stevenson – sister of Nicole, another MasterChef hopeful, eliminated earlier this season.

“Ben feels deeply remorseful about making this one- off judgment error,” a spokesman for Endemol Shine Australia, the company which produces MasterChef, said.

Ungermann ( right) has landed a spot in the final four of the hit Channel 10 show.
