PREVIOUSLY ON TELEVISION

Townsville Bulletin - - PLAY -

is talking about Game of Thrones. Don’t stress! There are no spoilers ahead.

I just feel so out of it, like I’m not “hip and with it”. I stopped watching Thrones way back in season three and I feel like it would take way too much time and effort to try to catch up now, so I’ve just decided to let it go.

I think I need to reassess my TV watching though. Yes, I’ve seen every episode of Seinfeld, Friends, The Office ( UK version of course) and Full House ( no, not Fuller House. I’m talking the ’ 90s Full House), but that doesn’t count for anything. What have I been doing with my life? I’ve missed every popular TV show in the past 20 years.

So to get a grasp of what I’ve missed out on, I annoyed a few of my mates and asked them to explain the best of the best using five words only. Here’s what they came up with. People are lost. Are they? Serial killer murders bad people.

Booze, sex, cheating, advertising and suits. Funny, ridiculous, clever, family, Jasonbatemanishot.

Doing bad for families’ benefit.

Drugs, cops, politics, murder and media. And finally back to to find out what’s been happening since I left: Boobs, blood, politics, dragons, and boobs. So … much of the same, it seems. After those descriptions though, I’ve decided to start with Arrested Development as the word “jasonbatemanishot” has drawn me in.
