Zoono cleans up at Woolies

SHARES in Zoono, maker of a hand sani­tiser that uses molec­u­lar tech­nol­ogy first de­vel­oped for ship­ping in 1930, have jumped af­ter the com­pany se­cured a dis­tri­bu­tion deal with su­per­mar­ket gi­ant Wool­worths.

Wool­worths’ 900- plus su­per­mar­kets across Aus­tralia will stock Zoono’s hand sani­tis­ers from Au­gust in the an­timi­cro­bial prod­ucts com­pany’s first ma­jor Aus­tralian re­tail dis­tri­bu­tion deal.

Zoono’s Stay­zon prod­ucts use a mol­e­cule de­vel­oped by Ger­man sci­en­tists in 1930 to stop al­gae build­ing up on the hulls of sub­marines and ships.

It says the mol­e­cule also ef­fec­tively kills bac­te­ria, viruses, fungi and mould. “In­de­pen­dent third party test­ing shows it is still killing bac­te­ria at 99.24 per cent even af­ter 24 hours.”
