“I had this idea that if I could get the world to see how fabulous Townsville is, then they would all want to do business with us,” she said. Mrs Kounias has lived in Townsville for most of her life and the mother- of- two is a practising lawyer running her own business.

Her TLYB Instagram profile has more than 5400 followers.

“Instagram is a free platform, it’s user- friendly and visual and a proven platform to build engagement and a fan base,” Mrs Kounias said.

Artist Brenda Stone has been using TLYB for over a year and said it had helped grow her social media exposure by hundreds of followers.

“Filitsa captures a different aspect of my art, and shares it passionately to everyone she knows,” she said. “Townsville is all about wordof- mouth, and when you have someone spreading the word about your business, you can succeed in many ways.”
