We’re far from a smart state

Townsville Bulletin - - OPINION -

WHO can remember when in Queensland we had to choose between The Smart State or The Sunshine State on our number plates?

Well I guess we do get our fair share of sunshine but what about smart?

The two major parties in Queensland are like Dumb and Dumber.

They just want to blame each other for the problems our state is facing.

Ten thousand people lost their jobs last month and power costs and crime are spiralling out of control and all they both want to do is to throw mud at each other and see what sticks! They are both repeat offenders and neither should get the opportunity to punish us again.

I would like to see a Parliament made up entirely of people who just represent their own constituents and have the determination to put them first.

The travel rorts and other misuse of the public purse for their self entitled lifestyle must end.

We need a government that creates opportunities for business to employ and not one that keeps throwing out the road spikes to halt almost every development .

Had enough! MICHAEL ABRAHAM Bohle
