GREYHOUND rac­ing re­turns to the Townsville show­grounds tonight with the Ross­vale Fish and Burger Bar fifth grade fi­nal over 498m the fea­ture.

This fi­nal will have a few chances in­clud­ing Watch Out Re­nald ( 3) for Rhonda Essery, who ran a good sec­ond last week be­hind Whatta Pass af­ter lead­ing for most of the race, and he will be bet­ter for the run with each- way claims.

Nova Party ( 2) for Robert Lound has drawn closer to the rails this week, and should also be­gin each- way claims.

Fastest heat win­ner Riff ( 6) for Harold Hovi has not drawn well this week, but should still be up there with the lead­ers.

Whatta Pass ( 5) for Glen Olsen is back­ing up from Cairns on Fri­day night where he was un­placed in the Young Guns Fi­nal, has a very strong fin­ish.

Not A Word ( 7) for John Forster is a con­sis­tent per­former, and ran third be­hind Riff last week. He has a good fin­ish and is a place chance.

Race 4 is the Town Au­to­mat­ics R/ W over the 498m, an open race with a cou­ple of chances.

No Not Me ( 4) for Essery is back­ing up from Fri­day night in Cairns where she won over the 410m. She is hav­ing her sec­ond start over the dis­tance and has drawn bet­ter this time in each way claims.

Queen Of Caw­dor ( 8) for Jay Schafer has a time of 29.01 for this dis­tance needs to be­gin well to be a place chance.

Slip­pery Coin ( 3) for Gra­ham Thom­son is hav­ing her first start over the dis­tance and is a well- bred young­ster worth watch­ing each way.

Pass The Ammo ( 5) for Robert Lound is also back­ing up from Cairns on Fri­day night where she ran sec­ond over the 410m and has each way claims.

Race 8 is the Just Per­fect Kitchens Best 8 over 380m. Slow Dancer ( 2) for Glen Olsen is back­ing up from Cairns on Fri­day night in the Young Guns Fi­nal over the 410m she has to jump place chance.

Mada­gaster ( 3) for Clarence Wil­cox has drawn well this week and will be up there with the lead­ers, al­ways con­sis­tent with each- way claims.

Ker­rie’s A Minx ( 8) is also in good form and won her last two starts and had a good sec­ond on Fri­day night in Cairns. She will be a big dan­ger to the favourite.
