Me­mo­rial for slain Da­mond

A DATE for Jus­tine Da­mond’s US me­mo­rial has been set in what her fam­ily says will be a “cel­e­bra­tion of life”. Ms Da­mond’s Aus­tralian fam­ily will fly in to Min­neapo­lis for the ser­vice, on Fri­day, Au­gust 11, at the Lake Har­riet Band Shell. The venue, of­ten used for con­certs, can fit 1000 peo­ple. Fam­ily spokesman Tom Hy­der told News Corp that her fi­ance Don Da­mond wanted the out­door lo­ca­tion, to pay trib­ute to the 40- year- old life coach. It comes as Act­ing Po­lice Chief Medaria Ar­radondo out­lined changes to po­lice body cam­eras. From Satur­day, Min­neapo­lis po­lice must turn on body cam­eras when re­spond­ing to any call.
