Ko­gan tak­ing on in­sur­ance

ON­LINE re­tailer Ko­gan con­tin­ues to ex­pand be­yond TVs and ap­pli­ances, adding in­sur­ance to its busi­ness.

The group has struck a three- year deal with Hol­lard In­sur­ance, the South African com­pany be­hind Real In­sur­ance, to of­fer home, con­tents, land­lord, car and travel in­sur­ance.

Ko­gan In­sur­ance joins Ko­gan Mo­bile and Ko­gan Travel.

Hol­lard will un­der­write the in­sur­ance prod­ucts, on of­fer be­fore the end of the year, and Ko­gan will earn com­mis­sion.

Ko­gan ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor David Shafer said the com­pany would con­tinue to look for busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties.

The group last month signed with Voda­fone Aus­tralia to add fixed- line na­tional broad­band net­work ser­vices to its range of telco prod­ucts from next year.
