MUM FIND­ING OWN NICHE IN BUSI­NESS

THE com­bi­na­tion of be­ing an en­trepreneur and a mum has brought on a na­tional award nom­i­na­tion for a lo­cal mum of four.

Anja Letz from Kelso who is the busi­ness owner of “Im­mery­ours” has been nom­i­nated for the 2017 AusMumpreneur Awards.

The awards are de­signed to recog­nise the grow­ing num­ber of women who suc­cess­fully bal­ance mother­hood and busi­ness in a way that suits their life and fam­ily.

Orig­i­nally from Ger­many, Anja is mar­ried to An­drew McIn­tosh and to­gether they have four chil­dren – Sean, 11, Bai­ley, 6, Halo, 3, and Cash, 1.

Mrs Letz said she was stoked that all the hard work and the oc­ca­sional doubts were well worth it and had been recog­nised.

“I was long­ing for a bet­ter work- life bal­ance and wanted to spend more time around the kids as they grew up,” she said.

With her pas­sion for peo­ple and jumped into en­trepreneur­ship.

Start­ing up in 2016, Im­mery­ours show­cases art she Anja’s cre­ation of keep­sake jew­ellery with a range of prod­ucts avail­able as the brand con­tin­ues to flour­ish.

“As long as I can re­mem­ber I have al­ways cre­ated things,” she said.

“Work­ing for your­self cer­tainly has its ben­e­fits and chal­lenges. You cer­tainly win if you plan and or­gan­ise your busi­ness ac­tiv­i­ties in ad­vance.”

The winners of the 2017 AusMumpreneur Awards will be an­nounced at an awards din­ner at Doltone House in Syd­ney on Au­gust 25.
