Evening for defenders and families

ALL Australian Defence Force members and their families are invited to 3rd Brigade, Defence Community Organisation and RAAF Townsville for an evening of information and fun.

Along with entertainment by the 1RAR Band, there will be exhibits from sporting clubs, volunteer organisations and education groups from across the Townsville community as well as food and drink stalls, live demonstrations and rides.

Some of the community exhibits will include martial arts, fishing, cycling, diving, shooting, car, astronomy and parkour clubs.

There will also be representatives from James Cook and Central Queensland universities, Great Barrier Reef Tafe, and Tafe NQ, as well as volunteer groups.

The event is on from 5pm to 8pm tomorrow at the Jezzine Barracks precinct in North Ward.
