Bennett banks on Marshall for finals effort
BENJI Marshall may not have played his last game for the Broncos yet with Wayne Bennett saving his Tigersbound super sub for a possible finals cameo.
Marshall yesterday inked a one- year deal to return to the Wests Tigers in 2018 after deciding to quit the Broncos after one season.
The former Kiwis captain could have stayed at Red Hill next year, however the $ 100,000 contract on offer was not enough to keep Marshall in Brisbane colours.
Instead he will make a fairytale return to Wests Tigers, the club he started his career at in 2003, won the 2005 premiership and played 201 NRL games for.
Marshall, 32, has played nine matches for the Broncos this season but has been overlooked by Bennett for the past two and has not played for Redcliffe in the Intrust Super Cup either.
