Cafe expansion on the brew
THE operator of The Quarters coffee outlet in Townsville Bulletin Square in the city is offering a double shot of coffee by opening a second kiosk, called Quarter Two, in the Northtown centre.
Garry Miller said he jumped at the opportunity when the centre’s owner suggested he could take up the position in the food court to service a growing clientele. Mr Miller said trade in the area had been bolstered by the relocation into the centre of the offices of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
“Everyone is sitting back and uncertain as to what is coming and what Townsville is going to look like in the future with the stadium being built in the city,” Mr Miller said.
“I do believe in the city and do believe it will come good in the long run.
“I felt it was worth a shot at coming in here and servicing the people working in the offices with the council, the Chamber of Commerce and now the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.”
Mr Miller has been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and previously worked with the Townsville Brewing Company.
