AFTER shining on the court in Townsville, Australia’s Diamonds took a well- earned break and soaked up some North Queensland sun before flying over to New Zealand.
The Diamonds beat the Silver Ferns 56- 47 in the second round of the Constellation Cup on Wednesday in Townsville’s first ever international netball fixture.
Diamonds centre Kate Moloney ( pictured right) took to Instagram to post a picture of her scanning the sea at one of Magnetic Island’s scenic bays.
The 25- year- old jokingly captioned the shot: “On the lookout for crocs!” Fortunately no crocs were reported. Moloney’s Melbourne Vixens teammate Liz Watson was seen enjoying the pool at The Ville Resort and said Townsville’s sun “shocked” her Melbourne skin.
Australia’s midcourter Kelsey Browne made the most of the recovery session in the pool. She said her stay at the resort was a highlight and it was a must- do for visitors.
The Diamonds enjoyed fresh fruit and juices in the pool.
Australia leads the series 2- 0 with two Tests remaining, to be played in New Zealand. The Diamonds play New Zealand tomorrow in Hamilton before finishing the series in Wellington on Thursday.
