BRICKBATS FOR HAT

Townsville Bulletin - - NEWS -

CERTIFIED LEGO professionals Brickman have made a 3.6m by 2.4m model of Parliament House to celebrate its 30th birthday. ( Yes, hasn’t that 30 years flown?) It’s pretty good and you can see it on Google. I bring it up because North Queensland politician Bob Katter features in one of the displays. There he is ( pictured) talking no doubt about crocs and sharks to a passel of bedazzled reporters at Parliament House.

Look closely and you will see Brickman has decked Bob out in a silver, flat- brimmed hat rather than the western- themed “cowbey” number he always wears.

In Bob’s home town of Cloncurry, putting a bloke in a flat brim hat when he always wears a curly brim western number is a hanging offence. Word is Bob’s looking for a rope and low branch.
