Cracksman on top with Winx
SYDNEY’S super mare Winx has a challenger for global thoroughbred supremacy.
Winx has been on top of the World’s Best Racehorse Rankings all year but has now been joined on a 130 rating by English champion Cracksman.
Cracksman produced a career- best performance to win the Champion Stakes on British Champions Day to improve his rating.
Winx completed another unbeaten year — her third in a row — when she won her fourth Cox Plate late last month, but remained on 130.
Enable, the dual Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner, created history when she won the US Breeders Cup Turf but she stayed at 125.
Winx and Cracksman have finished racing for the year, so they are likely to end the year as joint world champions unless there is a freakish effort in the Japan Cup or at the Hong Kong International race day.
