No Lasers here – handmade from start to finish. Sydney based artist James Robinson produces some unique pieces of surf art. Handshaping and building boards and paddles from Australian paulownia wood, James adorns each with a one off artwork, which is burnt and etched into the surface of the wood using a method called pyrography. These pieces are made to order and are handshaped, handmade and hand drawn.

BOUNDBYSEA.COM.AU William Finnegan’s autobiographical epic traverses the exceptional surfing life of an ordinary man. From his halcyon days at Honolua Bay to pioneering Tavarua and conquering the unforgiving big wave beachbreaks of San Francisco, Finnegan writes engagingly about locations and characters who sold their souls to surfing. Most of us can also relate to sub-plot also, which details Finnegan’s own struggle to juggle his wave-lust with more conventional commitments like a career.
