Tracks Editor’s Lack Of Concentration At Deadline Nothing To Do With His Trip To The Maldives Next Week.
Tracks editor Luke Kennedy today came out swinging against suggestions that his distracted manner during the final stages of issue #561 deadline had anything to do with the fact he was jetting off to the Maldives on a surf trip the following week.
During a 10:30am deadline day team meeting, which was strangely rescheduled to 11:30am by Mr Kennedy from his car at 10:45am, the suspiciously wet-haired editor went on to blame Sydney’s traffic problems, and a lack of parking for his spotty attendance in the office. “I even had to park in the CEO’s car space to make it here for this pointless meeting,” he spouted before continuing. “The office should be in Bondi anyway; it is the epicentre of Australian surfing after all. Now, how are we tracking on that piece I requested on how to optimise your Maldivian quiver?”
