Wayne Deane In July Aus­tralian surf­ing lost one of its most revered fig­ures in Wayne Deane, who passed away after a bat­tle with Stom­ach Can­cer. Wayne was a surfer’s surfer and will be re­mem­bered for his quiet con­fi­dence, ex­cep­tional surf­ing abil­ity and the easy re­spect he com­manded as a hu­man. Left: Wayne Deane.
