Bangkok Airways expansion
Bangkok Airways will see significant growth in 2016 with two new flight routes, increased trip frequencies and several new aircraft joining its fleet. This month, starting 02 April, the carrier will start operating daily flights from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son before kicking off four flights a week from Bangkok to Danang on 25 May. Flight frequencies will be boosted along popular routes with Bangkok to Phnom Penh increasing from five to six flights per day, Bangkok to Chiang Mai going from seven to eight and Chiang Mai to Samui increasing from one to two during high-season. The airline is expecting to receive three new ATR72-600S and three to four Airbus A319s, increasing the fleet to 36 aircraft for 2016.
