A YUMCHA favourite, the hum­ble egg tart (or dan tat) is ac­tu­ally a Ma­canese in­ven­tion and should ab­so­lutely be sam­pled in its home­land. In­vented by pas­try chef An­drew ‘Lord’ Stow in the late 80s the Asian fu­sion treat com­bines flaky pas­try filled with de­li­cious egg cus­tard. Lord Stow’s Bak­ery in Coloane still stands to­day and is a pop­u­lar foodie hot spot for both lo­cals and tourists alike.
