Perth Con­ven­tion Bureau an­nounces new chair­man

The Perth Con­ven­tion Bureau (PCB) has named Kevin Skip­worth CVO as its new chair­man. Prior to his ap­point­ment with the PCB, Skip­worth was the agent gen­eral for Western Aus­tralia in Lon­don, and also served the last five gov­er­nors of the state as of­fi­cial sec­re­tary and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of the Gover­nor’s Es­tab­lish­ment. Com­ment­ing on his lat­est role, Skip­worth said he was “pleased to be join­ing PCB at a time when the busi­ness events sec­tor is seen by gov­ern­ments as a key eco­nomic driver for their des­ti­na­tions, par­tic­u­larly in de­vel­op­ing strong global trad­ing, cul­tural and so­cial links”.
