STA pushes Western Aust

Tourism WA is zon­ing in on youth in the UK, US and Ger­man mar­kets through a $1.2 mil­lion part­ner­ship with STA Travel. The mar­ket­ing cam­paign will pro­mote Western Aus­tralia to 25-35 year-olds in key mar­kets and see STA travel agents trained on the state. “Tra­di­tion­ally, we have tar­geted an older de­mo­graphic through our mar­ket­ing ac­tiv­i­ties but we have seen po­ten­tial for growth in the youth and work­ing holiday maker sec­tors,” Tourism WA Act­ing CEO Gwyn Dol­phin said. The push will also in­clude blog­gers writ­ing about their travel ex­pe­ri­ences in WA; ex­tra con­tent in the STA con­sumer brochure; use of the Just Another Day in WA as­sets; pres­ence on the STA web­site and point of sale ma­te­rial in STA shops in the UK, US and Ger­many.
