LATAM’s Mel­bourne in­au­gu­ral

LATAM has cel­e­brated the first ever non- stop com­mer­cial flight be­tween Mel­bourne and South Amer­ica with the de­but of its new MEL-SCL ser­vice ( TD 06 Oct).

The route will con­nect Mel­bur­ni­ans to San­ti­ago thrice weekly on Tue, Fri and Sat.

Dream­liner air­craft. Vic­to­rian Min­is­ter for Tourism and Ma­jor Events John Eren said the new ser­vice would con­tinue to boost tourism in the state.

“Vic­to­ria is home to some of the strong­est in­ter­na­tional vis­i­tor num­bers in Aus­tralia and we’re work­ing to en­sure that those fig­ures keep climb­ing.”

LATAM is one of 31 in­ter­na­tional air­lines fly­ing di­rectly out of Vic­to­rian air­ports.

The air­line also con­ducts daily flights to Syd­ney via Auck­land.
