A RE­PORT com­mis­sioned by Amadeus has found that nearly half of the travel in­dus­try is fail­ing to fully cater for dis­abled guests.

The find­ings showed 46% of travel providers lacked rel­e­vant con­tent on ac­ces­si­bil­ity and skilled cus­tomer ser­vice in deal­ing with those with a dis­abil­ity.

A fur­ther 37% had in­ac­ces­si­bil­ity of in­for­ma­tion on the mat­ter.

The re­search rec­om­mends col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween pri­vate and pub­lic sec­tors to meet the ex­pec­ta­tions of dis­abled trav­ellers.
