Vir­gin gets zen about fly­ing

VIR­GIN Aus­tralia yes­ter­day hosted a med­i­ta­tion flight in part­ner­ship with Aus­tralian well­be­ing app, Smil­ing Mind.

The zen flight de­parted Syd­ney with 65 spe­cial guests on board in­clud­ing Vir­gin’s high pro­file Founder Richard Bran­son.

“We want to en­cour­age more pax to use their time fly­ing with Vir­gin Aus­tralia to ex­er­cise their mind through med­i­ta­tions in the in-flight en­ter­tain­ment sys­tem,” Bran­son said.

“What bet­ter way to make this known than by hold­ing the world’s first ded­i­cated med­i­ta­tion flight,” he added.

All guests were treated to a hot towel and hand mas­sages from the smoothfm an­gels, be­fore Smil­ing Mind led a guided med­i­ta­tion at 30,000 feet.

VA also an­nounced that from early next year the air­line will of­fer anx­i­ety coun­selling ser­vices be­fore and on flights.
