TOWNSVILLE has wel­comed the re­open­ing of The Ville Re­sort- Casino, pic­tured, fol­low­ing a $44 mil­lion redevelopment.

The nine-storey, 194-room re­sort is built around a raised in­fin­ity pool with a swim-up Splash Bar ( be­low), and is sur­rounded by an el­e­vated tim­ber ter­race and land­scaped gar­dens over­look­ing the Coral Sea.

The prop­erty fea­tures a “light and airy feel” in each of its Deluxe and Ex­ec­u­tive Suites ( above), and of­fers guests a range of ad­di­tional fa­cil­i­ties in­clud­ing Asian- in­spired restau­rant Miss Songs, con­tem­po­rary Ba­li­nese-style bar The Quar­ter­deck, plus al­fresco din­ing at the Palm House buf­fet restau­rant.

The re­sort also fea­tures 779m2 of con­fer­ence space that can be con­fig­ured into one, two or three rooms ac­com­mo­dat­ing up to 1,200 guests.
