Jour­ney Be­yond team grows

JOUR­NEY Be­yond has made a num­ber of se­nior ap­point­ments, in­clud­ing a new role for Jus­tine Lally as the com­pany’s GM Mar­ket­ing and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions just weeks after her de­par­ture from APT Travel Group fol­low­ing a re­struc­ture (TD 14 Aug).

Jour­ney Be­yond Chief Com­mer­cial Of­fi­cer, Peter Eg­gle­stone, has also ap­pointed for­mer Rocky Moun­taineer re­gional MD Fiona Wat­son (TD 06 Nov 2019) as GM of Prod­uct and Loy­alty, while Nigel Bro­hier, ex Hel­loworld and Qan­tas Hol­i­days, has been named as Jour­ney Be­yond’s Gen­eral Man­ager Travel Cen­tre and Hol­i­days.

“As we look to 2021 we are in­vest­ing in th­ese key roles to en­sure we’re in a strong po­si­tion to re­bound from COVID-19, to fur­ther de­velop our of­fer­ings, and to in­crease our con­nec­tion with the in­dus­try,” Eg­gle­stone said.

He said the ap­point­ments re­flected the on­go­ing evo­lu­tion of Jour­ney Be­yond and its prod­uct port­fo­lio in­clud­ing The Ghan, In­dian Pa­cific, The Over­land and Great South­ern rail jour­neys as well as Cruise Whit­sun­days, Rot­tnest Ex­press, Jour­ney Be­yond Cruise Syd­ney, Eureka Sky­deck, Sal Salis Nin­ga­loo Reef & more.

“We’re look­ing to work even more closely with our in­valu­able trade part­ners to do what we do best - and that’s shar­ing spe­cial places and shap­ing last­ing mem­o­ries for our guests,” Eg­gle­stone said, also not­ing the ex­pan­sion of Ali­cia Triggs’ role as Gen­eral Man­ager, Sales, over­see­ing both na­tional and in­ter­na­tional teams.

Fiona Wat­son’s new role will see her work with third party part­ners to grow busi­ness, as well as de­velop Jour­ney Be­yond’s first loy­alty pro­gram.
