Triathlon Plus - - The Big Test -

THE VELOCIS IS one of the best race-cut, nasty weather cycling garments we’ve had the pleasure of testing in years. Warmth is assured, even at zero degrees (should you be mad enough to ride when it’s freezing) by virtue of a fleece-lined front and rear section, while externally taped seams at the front of the shoulders are a decent failsafe against heavy rain. Three deep pockets at the rear are joined by a further pocket with a taped zipper that’s big enough for keys and cash, while a chest pocket easily houses a large smartphone. Extra long stretch cuffs with a thumb hole ensure they stay put, while the collar keeps even a stubbly neck free of irritation. The only thing stopping this jacket topping the Specialized SL Pro is the lack of venting, should you seriously overheat during all-out training efforts.
