The Chinese Theatre
This is a grand example of the opulence of Hollywood’s golden years, right across the road from another great landmark, the Egyptian Theatre. Opened in 1927 with its Chinese decor theme, the Chinese Theatre is most famous for the front courtyard where almost 200 sets of handand footprints of famous stars have been immortalised — from Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Stone. It has also hosted landmark lm premieres such as Star Wars and
Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as three Academy Awards ceremonies.
