CASE OF THE LOVE BUG
Billy and Arlo create dinner table drama on 800 Words
As Arlo’s wingman in Weld, Billy’s seen and heard a lot he likes about his mate, but there’s also a few things he actively dislikes. Namely Arlo’s latest love triangle with Lindsay and Poppy, in which he’s playing both girls off against each other. After putting up with the dramas, Billy’s nally had a gutful.
Feeling stressed out by Arlo’s (Benson Jack Anthony) latest antics, Billy (Reon Bell) is ready to tear his hair out in frustration. Sensing the bad vibes between his son and Billy, George (Erik Thomson) steps into the breach and organises a family dinner to raise morale between the boys.
After all, if George’s romantic relationship with Billy’s mother Katie (Anna Jullienne) continues as swimmingly as it has been, Arlo and Billy could soon be related!
Unfortunately, George’s best-laid plans come unstuck upon arrival at the boat club when the boys spy Lindsay (Manon Blackman) and Poppy (Jessica Redmayne) nearby. Building bridges is soon the last thing on the menu for the teens as Arlo and Billy’s stress levels rapidly escalate! Suddenly, the arrival of his meal sends poor Billy into such a spin that he faints face- rst into his bowl of pasta!
Once Billy’s safely laid up at home, talk turns to the possible cause of his sudden collapse. Worried, George presumes
he’s to blame because he may be putting too much pressure on the boys to accept he and Katie as a couple. They could be moving too fast, too soon.
Katie concurs, remembering that Billy’s suffered similar symptoms before. The last time he reacted this way was when she and his father Zac (Rob Williams) were breaking up...
To make matters worse for his and Arlo’s parents, Billy point blank refuses to say
what’s troubling him, instead choosing to lash out at Arlo again and demand that he ends his romance with at least
one of his girlfriends! TVS
