1. Bush poets
VISIT Tumbulgum Hall from 2pm today for an afternoon of fun, food and laughter with local bush poets and children’s performances. There’s also an opportunity for aspiring poets to shine in Five Minutes of Fame. Soup and damper are available. Members $10, non-members $12, children u/12 years $5, families $25.
2. Tyalgum hall dance
JOIN the fun and spectacle of a Tweed Valley country tradition at the Miss Tweed Ball Series at Tyalgum Hall tonight. Old and new faces are encouraged to join in on the dance floor tonight, June 24. The evening starts at 8pm and tickets are available at the door. This is a familyfriendly event with dress semi-formal. Supper included. Cost: adults $10; high-school age $5; primary school age $3.
3. Mini steam trains
EXPERIENCE the world of steam engines and replica locomotives at the Tweed Valley Miniature Steam Railway Club Exhibition Day, at Tropical Fruit World, Duranbah on June 25. You’ll enjoy steam demonstrations, live music, and replica steam train rides. Enclosed shoes must be worn. Adults: $15, Children 5–15yrs: $5
4. Gourmet food
KINGSCLIFF Markets are on at Jack Bayliss Park at Marine Pde today. With a beautiful beachfront location and an array of local produce, the markets are enjoyable for all ages.
