1. Bush po­ets

VISIT Tum­bul­gum Hall from 2pm to­day for an af­ter­noon of fun, food and laugh­ter with lo­cal bush po­ets and chil­dren’s per­for­mances. There’s also an op­por­tu­nity for as­pir­ing po­ets to shine in Five Min­utes of Fame. Soup and damper are avail­able. Mem­bers $10, non-mem­bers $12, chil­dren u/12 years $5, fam­i­lies $25.

2. Tyal­gum hall dance

JOIN the fun and spec­ta­cle of a Tweed Val­ley coun­try tra­di­tion at the Miss Tweed Ball Se­ries at Tyal­gum Hall tonight. Old and new faces are en­cour­aged to join in on the dance floor tonight, June 24. The evening starts at 8pm and tick­ets are avail­able at the door. This is a fam­i­lyfriendly event with dress semi-for­mal. Sup­per in­cluded. Cost: adults $10; high-school age $5; pri­mary school age $3.

3. Mini steam trains

EX­PE­RI­ENCE the world of steam en­gines and replica lo­co­mo­tives at the Tweed Val­ley Minia­ture Steam Rail­way Club Ex­hi­bi­tion Day, at Trop­i­cal Fruit World, Du­ran­bah on June 25. You’ll en­joy steam demon­stra­tions, live mu­sic, and replica steam train rides. En­closed shoes must be worn. Adults: $15, Chil­dren 5–15yrs: $5

4. Gourmet food

KINGSCLIFF Mar­kets are on at Jack Bayliss Park at Ma­rine Pde to­day. With a beau­ti­ful beach­front lo­ca­tion and an ar­ray of lo­cal pro­duce, the mar­kets are en­joy­able for all ages.

Spend a re­lax­ing Satur­day morn­ing shop­ping for gourmet food, pro­duce, craft, art­work, fash­ion, jew­ellery, flow­ers, gifts and food stalls.
