Battle brings huge bounty

Tweed Daily News - - NEWS | OPINION - — David ‘LAARZ’ Laarhoven, A1 Coffs Coast Tours

To our surprise, we were overwhelmed with upbeat and friendly faces throughout the region.

I WOULD like to thank the community for embracing and welcoming us to the Tweed region on our recent stay volunteering for the Battle Recharge.

We had expected after the tumultuous start to the year with chaotic and hazardous weather events, a shattered and fractured community however, to our surprise, we were overwhelmed with upbeat and friendly faces throughout the region.

The Battle Recharge event was a very rewarding event for myself and fellow moto escorts from the journey to the scenery and well organised cycle race with national significance.

The economic stimulus to the region would have been very significant with organisers, competitors and crew spending many days in the region travelling and

spending a great deal of money whilst being rewarded with scenic roads and eclectic villages to come back and explore in the future.

Thank you, we will return with friends soon to explore your beautiful region.
