MUSIC legends Pete Murray, Kate Ceberano and Ash Grunwald will headline a free family concert in Brisbane to mark the Centenary of Armistice Day.

RSL Queensland’s Freedom Sounds concert will also feature the Australian Army Band Brisbane.

The concert will celebrate the monumental moment when the end of World War I was declared.

RSL Queensland president Tony Ferris said the concert was a great way to celebrate the Centenary of Armistice.

“It was a momentous occasion across the world and what better way to remember than getting the community together for an afternoon of entertainment and a bite to eat at Brisbane’s Riverstage,” Mr Ferris said.

“Everyone’s invited to bring a blanket and relive the euphoria of 11 November, 100 years ago, as we honour our servicemen and women, and their families, for the sacrifice they make.”

Gates open at Brisbane’s Riverstage from 1.30pm on November 11. Visit freedomsounds.com.au.
