■ A MAN riding a mobility scooter was hit by a car at Banora Point on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services were called to Leisure Dr just before 5pm after receiving reports of a vehicle hitting a person. NSW Ambulance officers attended to the pedestrian while Banora Point firefighterts secured the scene. The pedestrian was transported to hospital via ambulance. It is understood their injuries were not serious. Firefighters thanked passing motorists for driving safely through the changed traffic conditions. “We’d also like to thank the two by-standers that assisted with controlling the traffic flow whilst emergency services were at work on this traumatic incident,” a representative said.
