Din­ing at Nahm, which has been grow­ing a strong and loyal fol­low­ing since open­ing in Bangkok in 2010, is con­sid­ered one of Asia’s most elite culi­nary ex­pe­ri­ences. Oc­cu­py­ing a beau­ti­fully de­signed, con­tem­po­rary space within the COMO Met­ro­pol­i­tan Bangkok on South Sathorn Road, nahm reg­u­larly tops Best Restau­rant lists around the world. The restau­rant is headed by ac­claimed Aus­tralian chef, David Thomp­son, whose com­mit­ment to main­tain­ing tra­di­tional Thai recipes and in­gre­di­ents has seen nahm set the bench­mark for high-end restau­rants across Asia. Com­bin­ing big, bold flavours with lo­cal pro­duce and tra­di­tional cook­ing meth­ods, the menu of­fers punchy dishes ori­ented around in­gre­di­ents that can’t be found out­side of Thai­land. Both set and à la carte menus are on of­fer, with high­lights in­clud­ing king­fish salad with pomelo, lemon­grass and lime; co­conut and turmeric curry of blue swim­mer crab; and tamarind and chili rel­ish with grilled cat­fish and neem leaves. Nahm at­tracts a mix of Thai and ex­pat lo­cals along­side over­seas vis­i­tors who are known to book a month in ad­vance.
