Sin­ga­pore Air­lines is cel­e­brat­ing its 70th an­niver­sary this year — and 50 years of run­ning op­er­a­tions to Australia. From ini­tial twice-weekly flights to Perth and Syd­ney in 1967, the air­line now op­er­ates more than 130 weekly flights to six Aus­tralian cities.

Along­side its re­gional wing, SilkAir, and low-cost car­rier Scoot, Sin­ga­pore Air­lines has a global net­work of 131 des­ti­na­tions in 36 coun­tries through the world fa­mous Changi Air­port hub.

Sin­ga­pore Air­lines con­tin­ues to pro­vide its cus­tomers with award-win­ning in-flight ser­vice: from the renowned KrisWorld

en­ter­tain­ment sys­tem to its gourmet Book the Cook cater­ing for Pre­mium Econ­omy, Busi­ness and First Class pas­sen­gers.

As the launch cus­tomer of the Air­bus A380 in 2007, Sin­ga­pore Air­lines will also cel­e­brate the 10th an­niver­sary of the world’s largest com­mer­cial air­craft this year.

With a fleet of 109 air­craft, Sin­ga­pore Air­lines has a fur­ther 51 Air­bus A350-900 air­craft on firm order, as well as 49 Boe­ing 787-10X and 20 Boe­ing 777-9 air­craft, re­in­forc­ing its com­mit­ment to op­er­at­ing a young and mod­ern fleet.
