In 2017, Virgin Australia and its North American joint venture partner Delta Air Lines are enjoying a stronger than ever partnership. The two airlines celebrated the launch of Virgin Australia’s Melbourne–Los Angeles service in April, and followed the new flight in May with Delta Air Lines’ relocation to Terminals 2 and 3 at LAX. The relocation means Virgin Australia and Delta’s operations are physically closer together at the airport, creating a better experience for customers connecting from one airline to the other.

The move came just in time — in August, Virgin Australia expanded its codeshare destinations with Delta to include the North American airline’s flights from Los Angeles to Denver (DEN), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Tucson (TUS), Aspen (ASE), San Antonio (SAT), Washington National (DCA) and Vancouver (YVR). These exciting, one-stop destinations make the United States and Canada more accessible than ever, whether doing business in Washington, D.C., or enjoying the beauty of the mountains in Denver or Aspen.

With the new destinations, Delta and Virgin Australia now offer 25 weekly flights between Australia and the United States, and the ability to connect from 46 destinations across Australia and New Zealand to 232 destinations in the Americas. Virgin Australia’s business-class experience, The Business, and Delta’s premium cabin, Delta One, distinguish the airlines as the only Trans-Pacific airline alliance to consistently offer forward-facing, fully flat bed seats with direct aisle access in business class.

The airlines’ collective focus on investing in the customer experience and providing the most comprehensive route network guarantees that Virgin Australia and Delta will be the strongest partnership across the Pacific for years to come.
