Australia’s Heart Lights Up

Vision Magazine - - Destinations -

It’s hard not to be awe-struck by the sight of the mysterious sandstone monolith that stands majestically in the central desert region in the Northern Territory, 450 km from Alice Springs. Traditionally called Uluru by Indigenous dwellers and named Ayers Rock by European explorers, this massive sandstone rock in central Australia is believed to have been formed by ancestral beings in creation time or Dreamtime. The hues of this sacred ancestral site are ever changing and radiate an otherworldly beauty, reminiscent of ancient artwork – predating history.
