Happy Lunar New Year!

Sydney’s Darling Harbour will be awash in the glow of thousands of lanterns hung especially for the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival. These lanterns are a gift from Sydney City Council who want to give their best wishes to all for a happy Lunar New Year. Melbourne is celebrating with many events being held along the iconic Yarra River, while the Queensland Symphony Orchestra is holding a special concert on 9 February to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.

Who said Australia couldn’t have a festive Lunar New Year?

恭賀新禧

悉尼達令港率先以花燈會點燃年節氣氛，悉尼市府在各處懸掛綵燈、以金雞報喜的形式向華人朋友拜年，墨爾本市府則是沿著雅拉河畔以舞龍舞獅呈瑞顯祥、爆竹漫天，昆士蘭管弦樂則以金雞賀歲音樂會，為當地朋友獻上祝福。
