Cue and Cushion

The ‘Cue and Cushion Bar’ is situated on the first floor. It is spacious, containing pool rooms and function spaces. It also offers a terrace nestled in the branches of the iconic oak. The award winning design of the Cue and Cushion brings guests back to the Art Deco style of the 1930s. With vibrant colours, bold prints and striking furniture, Alex says that the atmosphere of the Cue and Cushion pays homage to the historic Furlong family and whisks patrons back to the early days when the hotel was first built.

The entire floor is modelled after a luxury train. An exploration of the rooms transports guests to different compartments with a mock sitting room and even a station bar. The Cue and Cushion contains three main function areas - the Terrace and Spare room, the Licensee's Flat and the Dining Room. It is the perfect place to step into the more flamboyant times of the upbeat 30s and unwind with a group of friends after a busy day.
