Culture of the Nine Taiwanese ethnic groups

Formosa Aboriginal Cultural Village is located on the shore of Sun Moon Lake. It is the largest outdoor museum in Taiwan and is nd dedicated to displaying the traditional homes and architecture of the nine principal Taiwnanese aborigine tribes. The nine villages extend over an expansive section of hillside, giving an accurate depiction of what traditional Taiwanese villages were like. Each community is separated by trails so the similarities and differences between the tribal cultures are clearly displayed. There is a cable car positioned between the lake and the village for easy access, with the ride offering stunning panoramic views of the lake.
