Since ancient times, social gatherings have been celebrated with an abundance of good food and alcoholic beverages, but the most important part of these gatherings is in the joy of sharing each others’ company. Bringing the traditions of shared meat platters and barrelled beer into a contemporary setting, Hunter and Barrel offers an extraordinary, yet highly sophisticated feasting experience that will compliment every occasion. Inspired by the idea of the hunter, diners are immersed in an exciting atmosphere harking back to the way a good hunting day was celebrated, gathered together around a cosy crackling fire with the delicious smell of smoking charcoal meats filling the air.

Hunter and Barrel is perched on the edge of Cockle Bay waterfront, its dark wooden building like an aged book whispering secrets to those who discover it. The signature deer hovering over the front door welcomes diners inside, into a uniquely vibrant space which perfectly blends the raw elements of nature with the finesse of modern dining. From thrown fur and leather furnishing to candle walls and barrel stacks, the wooden concept of the restaurant is not only stylish but also exceptionally warm, allowing diners to relax snugly into their seats.

The natural star of the menu, Gathering Feasts celebrate a quality selection of meat, poultry and seafood expertly prepared and charred over coal. From slow-roasted beef ribs to crispy pork belly, these warm hearty dishes are served on a large hunter’s

Groups fromof customers anywhere between 2 to 30 people would spend hours gathered at the tables, sharing a whole feast, and basically enjoying each others company – and that’s the point of our restaurant. -- Graeme Reilly Brand Manager
