High Tea at Grand Hy­at­t洋茶‧手中的絢麗

VISION in­vited in­ter­net art celebrity Heeyo to en­joy a royal high tea at Grand Hy­att Melbourne with chil­dren as spe­cial guests. The amaz­ing chefs cre­ated dishes that the Bri­tish aris­toc­racy en­joyed hun­dreds of years ago. 應Vi­sion雜誌邀約,網紅藝術家Heeyo 與孩子們相聚午後,酒店精心安排了一場原本只屬於歐洲宮廷內眷的下午洋茶 (High Tea)。在大廚的講解下,領著孩子們感受了一場高貴、精緻、結合視覺和味覺的上流生活。

While wait­ing for af­ter­noon tea to be served in the pri­vate din­ing area of Collins Kitchen, Heeyo ap­peared to be sketch­ing with a Mont­blanc pen. In the blink of an eye, a 3D hu­man fig­ure ap­peared on the page. The as­ton­ished chil­dren whis­pered, “She only took a minute and it’s so pretty!”

Few min­utes later, Ja­son Camillo, the Ex­ec­u­tive Chef car­ried high tea into the room.

“Wow! So beau­ti­ful!” we all ex­claimed. There were many del­i­cate hand­made desserts, all colour­ful and di­verse. “I like mac­a­roons,” “I like orange cake,” “I want cup­cake…” The chil­dren’s eyes shone as they shouted in ex­cite­ment.

“I need some help­ing hands to pre­pare the savoury foods,” Ja­son an­nounced. The chil­dren fol­lowed him ex­cit­edly into the kitchen.

In­side the kitchen, the Amer­i­canstyle bar­beque brisket was siz­zling. “You won’t find this kind of brisket any­where else. We’ve spe­cially made it into mini high tea burg­ers, only avail­able here at Grand Hy­att Melbourne,” Ja­son told me as he placed the burg­ers onto the high tea stand.

One by one, the tea stands dec­o­rated with savoury bites ar­rived at the ta­ble. “Why are the plain old scones on the top tier?” The chil­dren won­dered the same ques­tion. “Sand­wiches and scones are an im­por­tant part of English high tea, it’s a royal high tea tra­di­tion. Based on these two items, you can re­ally tell how good your high tea is, Ja­son ex­plained pa­tiently. “Cut the scone in half, spread some of our spe­cial cream cheese and jam on it, and give it a try!”

Heeyo ex­claimed, “The cream cheese has such a mel­low aroma! To­gether with the fruit jam, the soft scone is too de­li­cious!” The chil­dren said with sat­is­fied smiles, “This ho­tel is so much fun!”

“Every dish, every patis­serie, and every sauce is hand-made and baked by the chef. The food de­sign and style changes monthly and the large, beau­ti­ful se­lec­tion of sweet and savoury items also change fre­quently. Our week­end buf­fet high tea is the best and most sump­tu­ous in Vic­to­ria,” said Ja­son.

“Al­though high tea is usu­ally only avail­able on week­ends, we are al­ways happy to do spe­cial sur­prises for fam­ily gath­er­ings, birth­days or other events,” says Grand Hy­att Melbourne Mar­ket­ing Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Co­or­di­na­tor Jes­sica For­mato.

在酒店餐廳內私人聚會專屬的空間裡,Heeyo 為等待下午茶的孩子們送上一份額外的驚喜,她手持萬寶龍筆,看似隨意的勾勾畫畫中,一幅立體結構的人形圖就展現在眼前了, 「她只用了一分鐘,太漂亮了,」孩子們交頭接耳的讚歎道。

「哇!好漂亮」,大廚提著洋茶甜點走入房間,精緻細膩的手工點心,五彩繽紛造型各異,「我喜歡麥卡龍」,「我喜歡橘子蛋糕」,「我要杯子蛋糕」。。。孩子眼中綻放光芒、興奮著叫著!

「我需要兩個幫手提我完成鹹味點心」,大廚與孩子們一起起鬨。

進入廚房,美式炭烤牛排剛剛出爐,「這種牛肉在是外面吃不到的,我們特地做成下午洋茶的小漢堡,只有墨爾本 Grand Hy­att 才有」廚師向孩子一邊解釋一邊把剛完成的漢堡放在洋茶架上。

一架架鹹味點心放在桌上,「為 甚麼點心的最上層是最不起眼的S­cone (英式烤餅)呢?」孩子歪著頭提著同樣的問題,「歐洲傳統洋茶中不能缺的有三明治和S­cone,這是皇室下午洋茶的傳統。因此,洋茶中最能看出真功夫就是這兩樣點心。」大廚耐心的解釋道,「把S­cone 切開,塗上我們特製的奶油乳酪(Cream Cheese)和自製果醬,試試!」。

「奶油乳酪散出醇醇的奶香,配上果醬的果香,鬆軟的烤餅,太好吃了 !」Heeyo 讚歎道!孩子們一張張小臉露出滿意的笑容,「這個酒店真的太棒了!」

「我們提供的洋茶,每一樣點心、每一種醬汁和塗料都是由廚師親手製作和烘培!點心的顏色和造型會隨著季節的變化而改變。當然,鹹味和甜味點心也會隨著季節而更換。我們週末的自助洋茶是全維州最頂級和豪華的。」大廚說。

「雖然只有在週末固定提供洋茶,但如果有特殊節慶,例如家庭聚會、生日饗宴或其他社交活動,餐廳很樂意提供這份『特殊的驚喜』」,墨爾本 Grand Hy­att 市場主管 Jes­sica For­mato 說道。
