CHILD’S PLAY

Keep the family entertained at home with a new virtual playroom, packed with free resources.

-

here are two words that can make any parent panic at the best of times. When your children announce (or maybe scream), “I’m bored”, you know you’ve only got a small window of opportunity before things get dire. And in this new world of working and learning from home, you may find yourself faced with this situation more often than you’d like. So, to help make life a little easier for parents and caregivers, Barbie and Mattel have launched a new virtual playroom, filled with free resources to keep little hands and minds busy … and to give you some well-earned breathing space.

The online platform features endless entertainment, like printable colouring pages, activities, ready-to-play games, craft and DIY projects, videos and downloadable apps. Learn how to bake with Barbie, create and share music, style photo shoots, go on virtual adventures and more. The hub also includes content from other favourites like Fisher-Price, Thomas & Friends and Hot Wheels, plus home learning tips and insights from Mattel’s play experts, in partnership with The Toy Association.

T“We believe in the power of play and how essential it is for child development, especially in these difficult times when so much is in flux for kids and families,” says Richard Dickson, president and COO of Mattel. “Our mission to inspire, entertain and develop children through play is more important than ever.”

The playroom will be updated weekly with fresh content to deliver a healthy dose of creativity direct to your lounge room. Because play should never be cancelled.
